From Sahl bin Sa'ad radhiallahu 'anhu he said: The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Me and the person who bears the orphan, (his position) in heaven is like this", then he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam signaled his index finger and middle finger sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, and slightly stretched them out " "Would you like your heart to be soft and you get your hajat (your needs)? Have mercy on the orphan, stroke his head, and feed him from your food, your heart will become soft and you will surely get your wish.” (HR. 'Abdurrazaq).
This great hadith shows the magnitude of the virtue and reward of those who support orphans, so Imam Bukhari includes this hadith in the chapter: The virtues of those who take care of orphans.
Even in surah al-Maun Allah SWT says, "Do you know (people) who deny religion? So that is the one who rebukes the orphan." (Qur'an 107:1-2). That is how the teachings of Islam glorify and privilege orphans.
